I Scream for Ice Cream

Rain rain go away come back another day. As I stepped off of the bus this past Tuesday a mixture of heavy rain and hale, yes hale came beating down on me as I headed to my cycling class. Spring is begging to come out of hiding but temperatures are showing fall on the forecast for a little while longer.

Last week it was a little warmer and I got to meet up with a new friend, Holly to grab some ice cream to shoot this dress for The Shopping Bag. There's nothing better than feeling good about the way you look while enjoying some amazing local ice cream. It's always interesting to hear the comments and see the looks of bystanders as I do these shoots for my blog. I can honestly say I've never gotten so many compliments while shooting a look before!

A fun and simple date night look, or maybe you're like me and any outing is a reason to get dressed up! Accessorize this look with a nude clutch, small enough to fit what you need with the option of a shoulder strap to make it easy to carry around. Until Seattle makes up its mind, a jacket might not be a bad idea! All of these items can be found at Check them out and if you find something you like use the code FASHIONBYANITA to get 20% off! Spring fashion is on it's way, if you're going to buy something might as well get a deal on it.

Shop on boys and girl.

Summer in Seattle

Summertime...and the living is easy.

Summer is slowly but surely coming to an end, and I'm so thankful to be able to say it has been one of the best of my life. My first summer in Seattle has been filled with new friends, cool music, good food, and fun adventures.

I was so nervous when my mom brought up the idea of moving away from Ohio, the place I considered to be home- but it turned out to be the best decision.

I first met Stephen Klise this year in January. One night as I was searching the world of hashtags on Instagram, I came across his work. I instantly fell in love with his natural lighting photography and natural style of editing.

Stephen and I were looking to have a little adventure; I had a day off from work and the sun was out, so we decided to take some photos at Carkeek Park. Even though the park is just around the corner from downtown Seattle, it was just the outing we were looking for. Sometimes, even a small adventure to the beach can provide a fun escape!

Summer Love

Love. Love can be so many things to different people: the love you have for your family, your friends, your pet, or better half. There's a man who entered my life nearly five months ago who I have so much love for. How does any of this have to do with fashion or my blog? Let me introduce you to the man behind the scenes. Meet Tristan Long: son, Army Lieutenant, boyfriend to me, and the editor of Fashion by Anita. Everything I post goes through him first, and it is because of him that my blog is now finally up and running!

I spent Saturday morning eating some macarons from Macaron Cafe in NYC and reading love letters from Tristan. Nothing does the heart more good than some sweet treats and sappy words.

His personal style if it was up to him: cargo shorts and a t-shirt. Being with him definitely  brings out my more casual side. We ventured to a junkyard for a shoot. We sat on truck beds, climbed on top of old semis, and spent the afternoon laughing, canoodling and having our photos taken.

So this one goes out to you my love, for helping my dream of having a blog become a reality and bringing so much joy to my life.

Now back to fashion business, I promise :)
